Admission Standards

Both academics and citizenship are considerations for those wishing to attend Centers of Learning. Our goal is to create a positive and safe school community where academic and behavior standards are high. We strive to provide our students with an atmosphere of integrity and mutual respect in which to learn and to develop each one’s unique talents.

Admission Procedures

The admission process provides our staff the opportunity to become familiar with the student and family, and also allows the student and family to learn more about Centers of Learning.

Mail your completed application packet to the address below. All items must be timely received in order for your application to be considered.

Early Childhood Program

Read the Early Childhood Program Admissions Procedures to determine if your child meets the minimum requirements for admission.

Step 1 – Apply for Admission

Complete an Application for Admission form and follow the instructions provided in the Admissions Procedures document.

Step 2 – Admission Interview

Upon receipt of the application, Centers of Learning will arrange an interview with the parents and child.

Step 3 – Acceptance Notification

Applications are evaluated and registration materials are sent to parents of students who are accepted.

Elementary, Junior High, and High School

Step 1 – Apply for Admission

  • Contact the front office to schedule a tour of our facility and an interview.
  • Complete and mail the following items to Centers of Learning or deliver them to the school office prior to your scheduled interview:
  • Send a Transcript Release and Teacher Recommendation form to your child’s current school. Have the completed forms mailed directly to Centers of Learning.
  • Attend your tour and interview appointments.

Note: The Admissions Procedures document has a checklist and further details. Application packets can be downloaded and printed; they are also available upon request from the school office. Each student applying needs a separate application.

Step 2 – Student Testing

Student testing is scheduled upon receipt of the completed application and application fee.

Step 3 – Acceptance Notification

Once the testing process is complete and all forms have been received in the Admissions Office, the applicant’s file is reviewed and parents are notified of the acceptance status.

In evaluating each student, we consider the whole of the applicant’s aptitudes, achievements, interests and personal qualities with the ultimate goal of admitting students who will be successful at Centers of Learning and who will complement their class.

Registration Procedures

Once accepted, parents of new students will receive a registration packet. Complete and mail the registration materials to Centers of Learning in order to reserve a place on the class list.

Include the following with the registration packet:

  • Health and immunization records requested in the registration packet
  • Birth certificate – a legal copy from the Hall of Records or appropriate agency
  • Registration fees – due at time of enrollment (see Fee Schedule and Financial Policy)
